The Dailey Method! They're offering at least three classes daily and instructors have been killing it.

The Berkeley studio of the Dailey Method is doing online classes on zoom. They are great! Highly recommend.

The Dailey Method is offering zoom Barre classes. It's not an ideal way to be introduced to their awesome classes, but hey, desperate times! Here is a link to their Berkeley schedule, which is where the Zoom class sign-ups are residing. (In normal times they have both a Berkeley and Piedmont studio.) I would strongly recommend the Dailey method on ashby! They have Dailey baby classes tuesdays and Thursday's where you work out with your baby in a carrier. I think they say babies up to 7 months but not sure. They also have childcare very frequently for $6 during a large amount of their classes as well. I've been going for a year and a half, before baby, pregnant and after and swear by the Dailey method!

RE: 6 AM Yoga in Berkeley?

I'm not awake at 6am but if I was I'd go to a Dailey Method class in Berkeley or on Piedmont Avenue. In particular I'd go to one of Cat's classes (cheerful, helpful and super encouraging!). She teaches a 6am class on Mon and Fri on Piedmont Avenue. The Dailey Method includes some yoga and is a really satisfying way to get exercise. They offer suggestions for how to make it more or less challenging.

RE: Yoga or other post-natal exercise

If indoor classes are more your style, I've heard good things about the Dailey Method, which offers childcare (thedaileymethod.com)

RE: Pilates Studio with Childcare services

Try The Dailey Method www.thedaileymethod.com ! Not strictly pilates, but rather a hybrid of pilates, strength training, yoga -- all set to contemporary music -- seriously, the most amazing one-hour work out you've ever had. And, YES, men are welcome and do attend (albeit occasionally). Childcare is available on Saturday mornings at 8:30a and 9:45am as well as throughout the week - check out the website for more info -- and look at the reviews on yelp.com - Happy Healthy New Year! happy customer

RE: Need a Great, Local Pilates Studio!

You might also try the Dailey Method on Piedmont Ave. At $18 a class its a lot less than 1:1 pilates and is an amazing workout - completely focused on core strength. I'm addicted. Good luck - lots of great options out there. Jennifer

I'd highly recommend the Dailey Method - there is a location on Piedmont Avenue as well as in Marin and SF. It's great! www.thedaileymethod.com anon
