Does your child love animals and learning on outdoor adventures, not just from home on screens? We hear the call of the wild! K-5th graders explore, hike, play, and learn in outdoor nature camps. Oakland camps, Berkeley camps, and Cupertino camps have small groups of eight to ten children. Kids take a breath of fresh air away from screens, spark a love of nature, create nature-inspired art, journal, read and write nature stories, learn biology and environmental science, play games, make new friends, and more!

Theme weeks for some Call of the Wild Camps include Enchanted Forest Art, Enchanted Vegan Nature, Enchanted Forest Reading, and Enchanted Forest Writing!

Campers enjoy learning by doing and emergent curriculum to explore their interests. Dedicated teens enjoy Camp Counselor internships.

RE:

Our family loves Call of the Wild Camp in Berkeley and Oakland. They are all outdoors and focus on both nature education and play and exploration with hikes, nature walks, scavenger hunts, games, an outdoor library of sorts with book reading, storytelling and nature journal activities that include drawing/coloring. My son loves the mix of outdoor education and free play.
