Re: Preschool Day Camps: Veteran's Day/Thanksgiving?
I'm also a working single mama and understand the challenges. Your post didn't say what city you are in though. I had good experiences with La Petite Academy. They have several locations around the bay area. My daughter attended two locations - Martinez and Concord. Depending upon availability, there is usually drop-in care. Earlier reservations are usually better. Maya J

Does anyone have first hand experience with La Petite Academy - either in Richmond or San Ramon? Or has anyone heard anything about it? What do you think? I can't find anything on the website. Tina

My daughter is currently enrolled in their Kindergarten program and is doing very well. She needed the structure the school offers in preparation of the school years ahead. Their days are planned so that the children are not shell-shocked when they have to sit for a much longer period of time in elementary school.

Since school started in September, my daughter has really excelled in her letters, numbers and they are starting math (addition). The class is about average in size but with the teacher and assistant, my daughter is able to have some one-on-one time with the teacher as difficulties arise.

I believe the teacher turn-over is almost zero. The kindergarten teacher and another teacher have been there since the school opened. Others have been there for a number of years. The only turnover I have seen is in the office staffing and the younger teacher assistants who use La Petite as a stepping stone to other schools. Donna
