I studied photography at Portland State University, and have been taking photos nearly all my life. I love to photograph people, events and animals.
I'm the former director of Montessori Family School in Berkeley, and have many years experience working with preschool age children and families.

Shawna took some lovely pictures of me and my two children, ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. The three year old loved it and enjoyed Shawna's direction, patience, and willingness to show her what was going on 'behind the scenes'. The one year old was understandably more difficult to photograph because he wouldn't stop running around, but Shawna still managed to get some great shots. Throughout the whole experience she was very easygoing and professional. The kids and I were very comfortable and had fun during the shoot. I would definitely recommend her for family or child photos or a family event.
