Math with Mr. Cottone

Former math teacher & department chair at the College Preparatory School in Oakland, CA. I have a BA (with Honors) in Math from UC Berkeley, an MAT in Mathematics Education, state and national certifications, and 17 years of experience.

I provide convenient private math tutoring lessons one-on-one or in small groups on Zoom. Using an iPad Pro to share my notes in real time, I engage students in their learning through collaborative problem-solving and guided instruction. Upon request, I record the sessions so that students can review them as needed.

I provide homework help, skill/confidence building, review/practice for exams, supplemental instruction, and test prep (PSAT/SAT/ACT/AP Pre Calculus/AP Calculus).
