Where to donate baby items?

Hi there! I live in Berkeley and have a newborn. As she outgrows things, what organizations in the area need gently used baby clothing, gear, or even new items that never were of use to us?

I’d recommend lovedtwice.org they have drop off locations on Piedmont Ave, and the cities of Alameda and Berkeley.

Try your local Buy Nothing Group: you can find it on Facebook. It's a way to pass things along to your neighbors--kind of like Freecycle, but hyper-local. I've found new homes for so many things I don't need anymore through Buy Nothing. Since each group covers such a small area, folks will often take up the offer of even small, inconsequential things...since it's just a short walk through the neighborhood to pick them up!

Loved Twice is a wonderful non-profit, started in the Bay Area, that gives 0-12 month clothing (and blankets, bibs, swaddles) to newborns in need. Drop off is easy too. Check Lovedtwice.org for more info.

A few years ago I donated several things to Bananas- mostly games, toys, and puzzles in good condition. They really seemed to appreciate them. Check with them to see if they have new guideline in light of COVID restrictions.
