Therapist for older lesbian

Our neighbor, a 95 year old lesbian, would really like a therapist who she can talk to about current anxieties. She’s been close to our own gay family, and relates so well to our son, but COVID has really got her down and she’s taking stock. Any ideas for someone who understands what it’s like to be an old and somewhat closeted woman in this era? Medicare is a plus, but not absolutely necessary. Thank you.

If you haven't already, please reach out to the Pacific Center for Spiritual Growth (usually just called the Pacific Center). It is a long-standing LGBTQ+ mental health service center in Berkeley. I'm pretty sure all their support is over Zoom right now, but if I recall correctly, pre-COVID there was an older lesbian support group, which maybe is still functioning online. Best wishes finding support for your friend.

LifeLong Over 60's Clinic in Berkeley. They are very well versed, take MediCare and have great therapists- some are LGBTQ identified..

Thank you all. Original poster here.  I also called the Berkeley Senior Center, who said they have a newish relationship with the Wright Institute in Berkeley. I guess there have been many older people asking for help during this tricky time. Anyway, I got a call within a few hours from someone there, who suggested I hook my neighbor up with Lavendar Seniors, who will have therapy options for her.
