Career/life coach recommendations?

Looking for recommendations of career/life coaches (or other professional?) to help figure out next steps for work after raising kids for a few years. Start a new career, which will take some training/investment; or find a job that meets basic needs? Thank you!

Hi there.

I just wanted to share that I'm going through the same transition right now, it's hard, and I'm happy to talk. I am talking to a great professional coach, but depending on your industry may/may not be right. Maybe if you tell me a little more I can help direct?

Best of luck and definitely be in touch if useful!

Remy

I highly recommend Larry Stern. He is a parent and gets it. His focus is on life transitions particularly career focused. And he is a good balance of fun and serious.

When shopping, you should check out the Barbara Koeth, a life coach who specializes in transitions, she is very experienced and empathetic. Her site is confidentlifechoices.com.

Good luck!

Hi there! I recommend checking out Nic Frick: https://www.nicfrick.com/

She specializes in helping new moms in particular, and those with families, with their careers and could be helpful. She'll do a free intro call so you can figure out if she's a fit for what you're looking for. Good luck!

I forgot his contact info.  Larry Stern can be found at larrysterncoaching.org

Sorry about that : )

Dear career-life contemplator:

I had a very good experience working with career consultant Louise Goeckel. Louise is down-to-earth, practical, and has the full pro's kit of career assessment and inspiration tools and resources at her disposal; and she also has an especially compassionate, trained counselor's approach to collaborating with clients. She sees work and career within the larger context of a life. She'll work with you to identify what factors are most important to YOU in choosing from the array of options you might consider; and will then tailor her support of you to suit you fiscally, temporally, and energetically. I was on an email thread about career counselors recently with other grads of my university, and there were many recommendations for career coaches and counselors from all over the country, as everyone (including Lousie) has been working remotely during the pandemic. I actually appreciated that Louise, who lives in Alameda, has a rich knowledge of Bay Area employers and organizations. That made a difference to me in our process. Louise was also ready to connect me with loads of people from her own local network as I did a bunch of informational-interview exploration.

I hope you find the balance you're seeking, with Louise or someone else's support. You can reach Louise at 510-749-9624 or Louise [at] LetsGoForward.biz (Louise[at]LetsGoForward[dot]biz)

Hi there. Not sure if this is the right fit for you as a parent, but Nic Frick works with mothers looking to make career pivots or re-enter the workforce. Here’s her information: https://www.nicfrick.com/
