Beach or Havens Elementary in Piedmont?
Hello,
We’re relocating to Piedmont and have been looking at houses primarily in the Beach and Havens catchment areas. I know we really can’t go wrong with any of the Piedmont schools but I’m just curious if anyone can shed some light on the differences between the schools in terms of community feeling, after school offerings, etc.

My daughter is in TK at Beach and it’s been wonderful. The teachers are all great and there are enough after school programs. She is in aftercare, Spanish and art. I can’t speak for the other schools, but Beach is pretty tight knit. When walking to school we regularly run into classmates and friends from the neighborhood. It makes our daughter so excited to go to school everyday.
I don’t think you can go wrong. My daughter is at Havens and all three schools offer very similar after school opportunities, enrichment, and the same curriculum. Historically Havens was slightly larger, however, I think with lower enrollment numbers all three schools have two incoming kindergarten classes. I would pick your favorite house, walkable to school is a big bonus, and feel confident in all three elementary schools.
