Anatomy and dissecting class for little kids

Hi there!

I have a 7 year old really interested in anatomy and had a great time in a one time class to dissect a cow’s heart. I’m not having any luck finding after school programs or camps that offer a similar experience. Does anyone know of anything in the East Bay? (I’d be willing to to go to SF too).

Thanks!

ATDP (Cal summer science camps) has a great one for incoming 4th graders with lots of dissection, hands on learning about organs. Human anatomy. Generally great for experiential science learning across their offerings.

Hi, they generally don’t allow little kids to dissect actual animals. It’s not necessarily even common before high school. There are however real life models you can buy and I believe online dissection apps and/or websites. I've often seen them do cow eye dissections at the Exploratorium in SF.

Do not know of any programs but there are some DIY things you can do https://www.nilesbio.com/cat482.html
