BPN offers discounted subscription rates to individual doulas because doula services are typically much lower in cost for parents than other childbirth expenses, and they do not require professional licensing.
If you'd like to post about your doula services on BPN you have four options:
1. Doula in Training: (free)
We will accept one post for no cost announcing your free or discounted doula services as you complete your training. Your post will appear in the Announcements newsletter under "Services for Families" and will remain published on our website for 30 days. Please contact us and include the text you would like us to post, a title for your post, and the city or cities you serve.
2. Postpartum Doula aka Night Nanny: ($40)
If you offer night-time childcare services to new parents, you can purchase a nanny subscription and post to the Childcare listing every 30 days for one year. Note this lower-cost option does not allow you to post about other services you offer, only about your postpartum childcare services. Subscribe here under "Nanny or Sitter".
3. Doula Solo Practice: ($90)
- You can post monthly announcements about all of your doula services in addition to posting about postpartum services in the weekly Childcare newsletter. These posts are included in the weekly Announcements newsletter mailed to BPN subscribers.
- You'll have a profile page on the BPN website with information about your business that you can edit. Parents can post reviews of you directly to your profile. Your current announcements will be displayed here too.
- Your business will be included in the Doula Listing.
4. Doula Group Practice: ($300) business
This subscription is for group practices that include two or more doulas, or practices that include a variety of professional services in addition to doula services, such as midwives, childbirth classes, or lactation counseling. You have the same benefits as #3 above. Subscribe here under "Business"
How can my clients post a review of me on BPN?
BPN subscribers can post reviews of doulas in three ways:
- If you subscribe as a doula business, either solo or group, you will have a profile page on the BPN website. Parents who subscribe to BPN can post a review of you directly to your profile page. These reviews are permanently published on BPN's website.
- If you are a postpartum doula, parents can post a review of you to the Childcare listing under "Parent recommending a nanny or caregiver." These reviews are published for 30 days and then they expire.
- If someone asks for doula recommendations in Parent Q&A, parents who have used you can respond to the question with a review of you. These reviews are published permanently on the relevant advice page, such as Birth Doulas or Postpartum Doulas. They are also published on your profile page if you are a business subscriber.
