A Passion for Language | Amy Mueller: Summer: Find the Joy in Essay Writing: 7th-11th Grade

Is your student struggling with writing essays - or just writing in general? Summer is a great time to bolster their skills and confidence so they can start the school year with a fresh outlook. During the course of the summer, taking each student where they are, I will build a foundation to enhance their knowledge of basic essay structure and composition, and teach them the writing skills and techniques necessary to complete a variety of essay types. My overarching goal is to tap into each student's inherent intelligence and creativity as a basis for writing smart, cogent, and well constructed essays on topics that interest them most, resulting in increased confidence.

I am a language arts specialist and passionate tutor who gets tangible results from even the most reluctant writers. With my encouragement and support, my students find the JOY in overcoming writing obstacles - and experience the elation of completion! I work with students individually, and would also welcome a small friend group of up to 4.
