Washington Elementary Point Richmond
Hello— looking for updated information on Washington Elementary in Richmond. We are very interested in the bilingual education offered there, but would love to hear some updated reviews from families currently attending. How is the new principal? How are the three kindergarten teachers? What is the current thinking about the school’s proximity to industry/Chevron? Is the PTA still super active/engaged? Thanks for any info!

The new principal is awesome! He started after Thanksgiving and hit the ground sprinting. He works tirelessly for the school, students, teachers and is a strong supporter and partner with all of the parent groups.
I’ve heard good things about all the kindergarten teachers. My daughter has Ms.Diana from Spain and she is wonderful. The PTA is extremely active. They typically host 3-4 events a month. This month so far they’ve hosted the Book Fair and Movie Night. Feel free to check out the Facebook page. I’m not sure if the school’s stance on their proximity to Chevron. It is a downside, but Point Richmond is a beautiful neighborhood. Feel free to message me if you have additional questions.
