Re: Smaller camp for 8 yr old?
My 7 year old is going to Alameda Arts for the second summer in a row and she wouldn't go anywhere else. It is very creative, laid back, hands-on fun with two engaging ladies and less than 25 kids. Arts include painting, clay, sketching, and collage; and crafts have so far included cooking, making a tote, casting and decorating a mask and weaving a potholder. There is plenty of outdoor adventures with mud-play, water play, and walking trips to nearby Crab Cove every week. Best of all the kids there are just nice kids and the can't beat price is $225 a week for 9-4 hours! My daughter keeps all of her projects because they are ''all special'' and she loves Miss Kate and Miss Hazel, who are snuggly and kind. MamaKathleen
