An exciting camp where culture and cooking collide! Each day children (ages 6-13) explore the world and "travel" to a different country to learn the language, traditions, play games, cook and eat a traditional dish! Our camp is educational and YUMMY!

Hi, Has anyone done Cooking round the world camp? It seems like it could be a good fit for my son but it's pretty pricey so I'm hoping to find a few more anecdotes besides Yelp before plunking down cash. Thanks, Raphael

Hi - Our kids don't have personal experience with Cooking Round The World, however, they have won Silver as Best Culinary Camp in Alameda County for the past two years http://www.campsbayarea.com/best-cooking-and-culinary-summer-camps-in-the-san-francisco-bay-area.html Hope this helps! RB

RE:  Recent reviews for summer cooking camps?

Look up Cooking Around the World - combines cooking lessons with geography/cultural lessons. My kids have enjoyed it. Anne

We have loved ''Cooking Around the World'' camps run by Mindy Meyer. Each day the kids study a different country, the clothing, traditions, art - usually with books and a slide show, and then cook recipes from that country. They also do field trips to the farmers market, Chinatown, etc. At the end of the week - you get a whole binder full of the recipes of the week (we are still making the Arroz Con Leche recipe!) Half day or full day options. www.cookingaroundtheworld.com Lissa
