Re: ''comfortable'' church near El Cerrito
YES! Definitely try Solano Community Church (solanochurch.org) held in Albany Library/Community Center. Very down-to-earth. Has kids lessons for maybe 3+.

Re: Church on the Corner
I wanted to mention Solano Community Church. They meet at the Albany Community Center on Marin. I don't know about their specific kid's programs, but I do know that there are a good number of kids that go there -- I know their parents and they are really neat people. If it has the type of kid program you are looking for, I think it would be great. church shopper

Re: Churches with kids near El Cerrito?
Check out the Solano Community Church, which meets at the Albany Community Center on Sunday mornings at 10:15am (on Marin Ave. in the same building as the library)! There is a kids Sunday School program for birth-teenagers. My son is 2 years old (next month) and he has a GREAT time. The church's website is www.solanochurch.org and the Pastor is Andrew Hoffman (he and his wife live in Albany, and have four kids). You can browse the website for the vision of the church, beliefs, etc. The church is about 70 people, and growing... it was a ''church plant'' two years ago, but is now fully self-supporting. I feel blessed by the diversity of the ages/couples/singles/ethnicities. If you decide to visit, I suggest to come on May 27th (it just so happens that this coming Sunday the 20th, the church is taking an all-church retreat to Felton for the weekend, and we won't be at the community center on Sunday am). Feel free to email me with any other questions you have. Allie
