Stretch existing oil painting
I have a 3ft x 4ft oil painting that needs to be re-stretched, or mounted on stretcher bars, I'm not sure of the correct terminology. Would a framer be able to do this? Or a fine-art painter? Do you know someone...Thanks!

Hi. I would check with Galleria Scola in Oakland just off Lake Merritt at 3646 Grand Ave. They were masterful in repairing a nearly century-old painting and frame that was made by my great great grandfather. IDK if they do canvas stretching, but if so, I would not hesitate to trust them with the project provided they think they can do it.
