Starlite child development center recent review?

Does anyone have any recent experience with Starlite childcare development center/preschool in downtown Oakland? Most reviews I see are from almost a decade ago. How are the meals and snacks?  Is there a lot of homework that kids are sent home with? And any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!

Hi. I live downtown and toured Starlite when looking for my child (we ended up at Lake Merritt Child Care Center). It's an incredibly good deal, provides all meals and snacks (though these are the standard processed food plus milk and fruit/veggies, like the other downtown preschools). Potty training is included. It was $850/month when I toured, but its possible they raised their rates as my school did over the summer. I spoke with another parent who had a good experience with their child. I was looking when my kid was 2 but there was no indication that they sent home homework. However they did emphasize that they were an "academic" based school (like the other Chinatown preschools). There is still quite a lot of outdoor play built into the day, and my kid likes the academic work like numbers and letters and colors, which all seemed age appropriate. It is much more diverse than the other Chinatown preschools which is a positive. They do watch some screens during the day, like the other Chinatown preschools, which I see as a big negative.
