July 2001Vasquez Family Day Care: I am looking to send my son here possibly, and would greatly appreciate any advice/info you might have about this day care. Thanks! Jen
We sent our older son to Vasquez Family Day Care from the time he was 11 months until he was three when he went to preschool and our second son has been attending since he was 7 months and is almost two. We think the care there is very loving, caring and secure. Maureen, the owner, is also the most flexible day care provider I could find for part-time daycare. She has always been very open to accomodating our schedules without any unreasonable charges. She also will take kids in cloth diapers without any additional charges. Both my children have enjoyed themselves and have grown a lot developmentally and bonded with Maureen, Nela and Rosa (who are the two additional caregivers who have been working with Maureen for years). Maureen serves very healthy meals and even uses organic vegetables. The downside--it can get a little zooey at times. The biggest plus is the outdoors where the kids spend a lot of time. Teri
