We have sent both of our kids to Pam's for childcare. They each started around 4 months old when I returned to work from maternity leave, and both times, Pam made the transition seamless. In an effort to cover as much as possible in this review, I will just list out why Pam's daycare is so great (and this is in no means a comprehensive list because the review would be too long!)

* She is exceptional at getting the kids to eat during the day, whether it be breastmilk/formula, purees or solids and is very accommodating to special requests or personal preferences (such as organic or dietary requests).
* As one of the other reviewers mentioned, she is great when it comes to helping with the transitions from bottle to cup, crib to bed and potty training. We had to do almost nothing when it came to potty training our oldest, which was fantastic!
* She really loves the infant and toddler stage and you don't have to worry about whether or not your newborn/infant is going to get enough attention during the day...because they will. She does a great job of making an environment that is great for all ages.
* There are plenty of toys and entertainment for kids of all ages, which she rotates regularly and a great outdoor space for them to play in.
* She has always been flexible with her hours, and over the years she has adjusted her start times to accommodate early work mornings etc.
* The kids are SO well behaved for her! She teaches them manners, but in a very caring and nurturing way (not in a strict manner at all).
* She really connects with the kids and genuinely cares about them as if they were her own. She has always told us that she is available in the event of an emergency, and not to hesitate to call her outside of business hours. We actually took her up on this offer when I was pregnant with our second child and had to take an unexpected trip to the doctor in the evening. Pam was more than happy to take our oldest for a couple of hours in the evening and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. It was as though she were a close family friend that was doing us a favor.
* She rarely takes a sick day (maybe once or twice in almost 4 years) and always gives several months of notice before any planned vacations.
* With our first, we really had no idea what we were doing when it came to a lot of things and she was always a great resource when we had questions about sleep training, feeding, potty training etc...
* She is very in tune with the kids and what is "normal" for them, so she always communicates with us if our child has an off-day and effectively gives us that extra set of eyes during the day while we are at work.
* In the four years that we have had our kids with her she has always communicated with us openly. This was particularly comforting when our kids were infants because she would chat with us at the end of each day and just fill us in on how the day went...how much our kid ate, how long they napped for, how many poops etc...

Overall, it has been a huge weight off our shoulders knowing that when we are at work, our kids are in good hands. We know that they are being well taken care of, and spending their days in a warm and caring environment. What more could you ask for!?

Pam has taken care of my child for about two years and we couldn't be happier. With the children, she is warm and positive. The children are always happy to arrive in the morning. It feels like a big family. My child loves going there. Pam opens her entire home to the kids (not just a playroom). Her house is extremely well organized, clean and safe. She also has so many nice toys that she rotates so the kids don't get tired of playing with the same things. The backyard is also set up for the children's playtime and is also very well maintained. Pam cooks and encourages healthy food choices for meals and snacks and happily accommodates special food requests. My child definitely eats better at her house than at home! Another thing I love is that Pam really helps with transitions like bottle to cup, crib to bed and even potty training!
As a parent, I always feel welcome to come inside and talk about my child's day. I also feel comfortable calling to check in. Pam is very professional and easy to communicate with. I feel that she is really "in tune" with my child and notices and reports anything she thinks I need to know about that happens throughout the course of a day. Pam is extremely dependable. In two years she hasn't taken any unplanned days off! All vacation days are given months ahead of time so that you can prepare. I would whole-heartedly recommend Pam to anyone looking for daycare. I was so worried when my maternity leave ended and I had to leave my baby with someone else. But Pam made that transition so much easier than I thought it would be because I know that my child is extremely well cared for!
