My daughter has been in Rubia’s care since she turned 6 month old, I can highly recommend her. During the pandemic, she kept all our children and families safe and created a space in which my daughter was thriving. Her teaching style emphasizes independence, creating pride and motivation in my daughter. She has a fantastic, stimulating program for the kids, both younger and older, which allows them to learn from each other, which is encouraged. My 2 year old knows all the continents, animals who live on those continents, colors, shapes, can apply the alphabet (pointing out letters while driving), count on her fingers and the days of the week. And she picked this playfully up while engaging with the older kids in their daily activities. She loves to go to daycare, she thinks about Rubia throughout the day and made meaningful friendships with the other kids in her care.  Intellectually, emotionally and socially she has been thriving in Rubia’s care despite the pandemic and thus have we as a family!

I posted a recommendation for Rubia a while back. I absolutely adore her. She is a wonderful care provider. I sent my eldest to her, and my younger child has just now left her for preschool. We still rely on her for babysitting and evenings out. Rubia is reliable, loving, and unruffled by chaos or tantrums. She has worked with many children of special needs, too.

Rubia is an incredible resource. She used to work in preschool for years, and has been operating a daycare out of her home since her own children were born (20+ years ago). We love the depth of experience and knowledge she brings, makes games out of learning shapes, colors, letters, etc. The kids go on regular trips to the library, the farmer's market, and play outside (in her veggie garden) everyday. They get a great deal of exercise and develop great friendships - my daughter is still friends with her Our House buddy!

Finally, Rubia is one of the most affordable daycares in the area. She is committed to keeping her price low to accommodate families. Good luck in your search!

Rubia has been amazing for our child, starting at 5 months through 22 months. She provides a warm caring environment where children learn to share, eat a wide variety od foods, learn their colors and letters, and how to be good friends. She takes them outdoors everyday: to the park, neighborhood walks, library, and her backyard space. Rubia also provides a well structured day with routines for mealtimes, naptime, and transitions. Our child talks about going to Rubia’s on the weekends and truly loves her time there. Thank you!
