My two little boys absolutely loved Oak Knoll! Each day was filled with lots of enriching activities, art projects, songs, stories, and outdoor time. They got to burn off their vast reserves of energy and came home each day knowing something new. My eldest started naming plants on our neighborhood walks that he'd learned at school, and they'd sing the new songs they'd learned before bedtime. They keep a good ratio of teachers to students, serve nutritious snacks, and the kids have a blast. We were so grateful to finally find a daycare that would take such wonderful care of our children while also providing full time hours.

We absolutely love Oak Knoll Young Explorers! We moved to Oakland from the East Coast and toured a lot of childcare centers when we arrived. OKYE is hands-down the best decision we could have made.

Sarah, Diana and all of the teachers are warm and welcoming, and their communication is frequent and  detailed – a priority for us. We get frequent pictures and messages, and it is clear to see our son having the time of his life each and every day.

OKYE is exceptionally well run and the curriculum is carefully tailored to each age group. The school leverages both Montessori and Reggio-emilia principals, and engages the kids in STEAM education, all wrapped up in a *FUN* day for the kiddos! Our son has significantly developed in our time at OKYE. Based on what we see with the older students, we feel confident in OKYE for our son’s growth and development in the coming years.
