I started taking my two kids to Mari's in 2018 and have continued with my younger daughter (now 3) once my eldest started Kindergarten. Mari's is wonderful. Professional, Spanish-immersion (mostly), kind and loving, healthy food, and affordable. Highly recommended!

My daughter started at Maria's when she was 9 months old. We left when we moved across the country when she was 18 months old. I always felt that my daughter was safe in Maria's care. My daughter loved Maria. She never cried when I dropped her off. Maria was loving and really understood babies and toddlers. I really liked that it was play-based, but had some structured times like morning circle every day. I'm positive that Nina ate better at Maria's than she ever ate at home. We miss Maria!

After three years, My 3.5 year old daughter just transitioned from Maria (Mari) Mayorga's Daycare to preschool. Mari's daycare is home based, and incredibly loving and structured. She has a huge space so kids can stay occupied with multiple activities during the day - including both outdoor AND multiple indoor spaces. She provides meals and snacks, helps with potty training and does some structured activities for the older kids (ie: singing, dancing and art). My 3.5 year old started since she was 6 months and she LOVED it. (She often asked if she's going there on the weekends, and still talks about daily).

Mari and her assistant Irma are a wonderful team and keep the kids engaged and happy.  She is an absolute gem of a find and I cannot express how wonderful she is.  We were so happy with Mari and hope to encourage more fun loving families to check her out!

Our daughter has been with Maria and Irma since she was 6 months old. She is now almost 2.5 years old and will be transitioning to preschool in the Fall. Finding Maria and Irma has been such a blessing for us, and we truly could not have asked for a better daycare experience for our little girl. Maria has over 20 years of experience running her own daycare, and her assistant Irma, is also a total pro. They are both so warm, nurturing and loving with the children. My daughter loves going there every day, and looks forward to seeing all of her friends and participating in the fun activities that they provide. Maria and Irma provide circle time, active play time, quiet play time, art time, and story time each day. They also make the most delicious home-cooked breakfast, lunch and snack (it's hard to not come in and eat with them every morning when I drop my little girl off)! My daughter has also learned Spanish, which was very important for us (although if you are not a native Spanish speaking family, do not worry, Maria speaks fluent English, as well). I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Maria and Irma. Finding the right care for your child is so important, and I could not be happier with the care our daughter has received at Marias Daycare the past 2 years. I can't recommend this loving and warm home daycare environment enough!

Maria will have an opening in September after my daughter transitions to Preschool. Please contact Maria at (510) 532-4906 to schedule a visit or feel free to contact me with any questions. Barbara

We truly could not have asked for a better daycare experience for our little boy. After visiting about a dozen sites, Maria's Daycare stood out as the warmest, cleanest, and safest environment and it proved to be an excellent choice for our family. I had the opportunity to stay home with my son for 14 months so I dreaded the transition to daycare because we were so attached; however, within 2 weeks it was obvious that he had transitioned smoothly and successfully. He loves Maria and her assistant Irma, enjoys the many activities they offer, and most importantly for us, has learned to speak Spanish. There have been several times during the past 2 years when he is actually sad to leave! Maria and Irma are truly amazing: attentive, friendly, flexible, and professional. They've given us peace of mind while we're at work and have always been open to our phone calls or visits when needed. We've referred our friends to Maria's Daycare and will gladly speak with anyone about this wonderful daycare option. Please contact Maria at (510) 532-4906 to schedule a visit or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Maria Mayorga's daycare has several spots open for children over 2 years old. With 18 years of experience, Maria is known by many Oakland families as a provider of loving, professional childcare in a fun, bilingual, home-based environment. She has created a stimulating and accessible environment for children to play, create and explore in--each day the children have circle time, active play time, quiet play time, art time, and story time. Other activities include cooking and Spanish. The children in her care are active, engaged, learning and having fun together. She provides home-cooked breakfast, lunch and snack. My older son was with her for 2.5 years and my baby is with her currently. I can't recommend her highly enough. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Danielle G.
