My daughter has been going to A Little Bird Child Care Center since she was 3 months old--now she's ove a year. I found the place on craigslist and thought it sounded a little sketchy-- our neighborhood is sketchy.
I was so surprised when I saw the house-- it's HUGE --and brand new. The daycare is run by Christine Nguyen and her cousin Theresa. I liked them immediately. Theresa cooks homemade baby food, and plays with the kids all day. They listen to music and dance, they play on the big jungle gym and swing set in the back yard.
The family and extended family are close and always dropping by, bring food and helping out. Cand they are My daughter loves them all, and they love her.
It's more like introducing your kid to a big loving extended family of honest and trustworthy people. My daughter comes home cheery and tired, and she has NEVER not once, cried when I leave.
She's learning Vietnamese, and the prices are scandalously low.
