We feel so lucky to have found Wafa and Language Immersion Academy. It’s a small family run in home daycare that has been taking care of our son since he was 5 months old (23 months now.) Since day one, Wafa has treated him as part of her family, showing him such love and care. We think she is greatly responsible for the compassionate and loving little guy he’s turning into. An added perk is the meals she provides starting at age one. My son will eat anything and everything she feeds him. My husband and I joke that he eats better than we do. It’s a bonus that it’s a French immersion daycare. There’s nothing cuter than hearing your son say “merci boucoup!” The daycare closed down for a few months during the shelter in place but thankfully reopened at the beginning of July. Wafa and her husband, who often helps with the childcare, have gone to great lengths to ensure everyone feels safe, toys are properly cleaned and disinfected, lots of time is spent outside, etc. We are so thankful for everything she has done for our son and taking such good care of him. It’s going to be a sad day when it’s time to move on to preschool.

My son was with Wafa from 4 months - 18 months, when he joined my daughter at a Montessori daycare that begins at 18 months old. Wafa is an extremely loving caretaker and is constantly increasing her knowledge of early childhood development. During my son's time there, she has completed an early childhood education program and continued her professional development through additional workshops and courses. This curiosity about and passion for caring for children really shows in her work. She thinks about ways to improve the experience of both child and parent, and I am super grateful to have had her as part of our parenting journey. Wafa's home is always immaculate, with toys cycled in and out as children develop. There is always something new, and interesting, placed for the children to play with, but the number of things out is not overwhelming. Wafa works hard to communicate with parents and to accommodate your needs. Once my son turned one, Wafa provided amazing home-cooked food for him. I recommend Wafa without hesitation, and although my son has moved to another daycare, we still miss Wafa and her family and intend to keep in touch. I am happy to answer any questions or provide further reference if you are interested.

Wafa is a caring and loving caretaker. My 6mo old daughter is always excited to see her and in great spirits when I pick her up. You can truly feel the love Wafa has for all of the children in her care. She is very kind person, who has good communication and understands the challenge of leaving your child in daycare and really helps alleviate the stress. I really appreciate the run down of the day she provides with info on naps, soiled diapers, and last bottle taken. When my daughter went through a period of not wanting to take the bottle Wafa worked hard to get her back to taking it- which was no easy feat. I can see how Wafa creates opportunities for the babies to develop on their own with out lots of help but just gentle encouragement. Her home is clean and warm and feels perfectly set up to create a safe space for the babies. I am so grateful for the care Wafa gave our daughter. I am happy to answer any questions about our time with Wafa.

Wafa is especially wonderful with small babies. My son was with her from 9 months (when we went back to work) until 17 months (when a waiting list spot opened at a center near work). It was so nice to have him in a loving home environment for his first daycare experience. Happy to answer any questions about our time there.

Wafa and Mounir are amazing caregivers! I feel so lucky to have found them. We were in a pinch to find childcare for my 7 month old daughter when I was returning to work. After an amazing amount of un-returned calls and extended wait lists, I connected with Wafa and am so grateful I did. As the previous posted said, Wafa really has a way with babies and my daughter took to her immediately. Wafa got her to take a bottle in less than a week (which she had not taken a single one before!) and got her napping schedule dialed in. She has lots of engaging activities for the babies to do, and truly showers them with love and affection. I cannot recommend them enough.

I am so grateful to have found Wafa's daycare for my infant son when I went back to work.  We started with Wafa very, very part-time when my baby was around 22 weeks old, in advance of both my partner and I returning to work (so he could get used to it).  And we went fulltime at 26 weeks---so little still!  Wafa was amazing.  She really has a gift with babies.  She helped him settle into naps at daycare, and she worked with us as he went from 3 to 2 naps a bit down the road.  She has been such a warm, loving cheerleader and caregiver for him, really everything I could have hoped for.  When they went up to four babies, Wafa’s husband Mounir joined as her assistant.  My baby loves him too, and just lights up when he see them both everyday.  We really feel blessed.  We are moving on now that our little one is a bit older, but we really could not have done any better for infant care.  Please feel free to email me with any questions.
