Hey everyone,

I can't say enough good things about this place. We have a 19 month old and a new 4 week old and Tarsha and team have been unbelievable since our oldest started attending 7 months ago. She has learned so much thanks to the Kindergarten Readiness Academy. Every day she seems to have picked up more words or phrases and fine motor skills. She learned to string beads with Tarsha, and we regularly get new artwork for our fridge. We were driving around just this past weekend and she started singing her ABCs out of the blue, which is super impressive to us: my wife and I hadn't sung that particular song with her (oops...) but she knows the majority of it.

The family & community atmosphere here is also very endearing and exactly what we had hoped to find for care our daughter when we moved to the Bay Area last year. It is clear that everyone there loves kids. Our daughter is excited to go every morning and talks about her friends there constantly. Tarsha even hosts monthly 'first Fridays' where the kids get to stay late and parents can sneak out for a dinner date. We've been super impressed and oh so grateful for Tarsha and everyone on her team.

Feel free to hit me up if you have questions, or just reach out to Tarsha and team directly.

Hi all,

In case anyone is looking for an in home daycare for your 2 - 5 year old, I wanted to recommend the one that my son currently attends:  The Kindergarten Readiness Academy, which is located in Oakland near Market and 40th Street.

My husband and I started our son there earlier this month and it has been awesome!  The owner of the daycare, Tarsha Jordan, is a former principal and OUSD teacher of the year, so the premise of the daycare is making sure young children are adequately prepared for school.

Although my son is a long way from school age (5 months), I can already tell that he has learned a lot in his short time there. Plus, the staff there takes excellent care of him and truly cares for him.  You can tell that they really love kids, which is wonderful (and not something that I saw at the other daycares that I visited).

The school is looking to expand to serve children who are closer to school age, so I wanted to recommend it to any parents with kids who fall in that boat.

Any questions, just let me know!

The owner of the daycare can be reached at 510-938-1987.

Thanks,

Mercedes
