We are very pleased with Amy Child Center. My daughter, 5 months old, is happy & thriving there. She has a sensitive temperament and they are highly attentive to my child's needs. They went to great lengths to get to know my child, make her comfortable, and respond promptly to her needs. My child smiles when she sees them in the morning. She doesn't cry during the day. When I pick her up at the end of the day, she's too busy playing to notice me!
Carmen, the owner, has a BA in Early Childhood Development from SFSU. She is extremely knowledgeable in developmental stages & age appropriate activities, and is an excellent resource for this first time mom. When my child is awake, she is always engaged in an activity with them. They constantly talk to her in English and Cantonese. They read & sing to her, play music, have her work on motor skills (ie. grabbing toys from the palm of their hands), sitting up on a boppy, tummy time, etc.
They are clean, organized, affordable ($68/day), conveniently located off 19th Ave + Sloat, and flexible in offering part time & drop in. They opened mid-2012 and have openings available. I envision sending my child here for a few years so I would like this daycare to prosper and grow. Mona
