Alegria is a Spanish Immersion Montessori daycare. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. We provide a beautiful, nature environment for the children to grow, play and learn. Delicious home made foods all cooked from scratch. Preschool program and lots of outdoor time. Once a week yoga and music and movement classes. Lots of arts and crafts and activities
Our son, Julian, has been thriving at Alegria since Jan 2017. Paty, the owner, allows a maximum of 12 kids, has a full time helper and speaks Spanish to them so they are immersed. She makes home cooked, balanced meals daily. The kids eat everything she sets in front of them and always try new things (salads, pico de gallo, beans, rice, etc).
We love her gentle/redirection techniques with discipline, especially with our rambunctious, sensitive child.
Paty follows a Montessori approach, so learning is fun and play based and not forced. There is TONS of outdoor time, rain or shine and daily arts/crafts. They also get weekly yoga or music with an outside instructor who is brought in.
I can't say enough about how much we love and have loved our experience with Alegria and Paty. We know our child is safe, loved and growing socio-emotionally and academically.
Alegria, Paty Pasquel's in-home Montessori based day care, will have an opening starting October for a 11 month old or older. Our son has been with Paty and her 2 loving assistants since he was 11 months old. Paty does lots of arts and crafts with the children, my son cannot stop talking about Circle Time, great backyard a loving and caring environment . Paty also cooks amazing, healthy foods for lunch. She has two full time assistants that keep the ratio low and all kids cared for. We are constantly amazed by all the fun art projects and activities. Paty also has a yoga and a Latin music/dance teacher once a week. I can not recommend her highly enough. email: appasquel [at] aol.com, phone: (510)536-3874 Please email me with any questions
Patty definitely knows how to teach, love and help children! She is a wonderful women who loves children, seeing my child and all the various crafts and projects when she come home, couldn't make me happier with my choice to put her in Alegria! She teaches my child spainish so each day my child comes home with a more fluent vocabulary! Patty also has two other assistants there who are great help and love the children as well! My child is growing at a rapid rate here and everyday she asks me even on Saturdays "when are we going to Patty's house?" Thank you patty for providing a place for my child to learn and grow at, I couldn't be happier!!
We have been blessed to have Paty in our lives, helping to raise my boy while I am away at work. She is so loving, kind person who gives her ALL to the kids. Paty maintains a structure (Montessori emerged) and educational environment for those she cares for, but provides that extra special compassion that you hope to find in someone who will be there to watch your kids when you have to work. I can't say anything bad about Paty and my boy loves going to her house. My son has a hard time leaving her house when I pick him up. Paty cooks nutritional organic meals for the children every single day and also makes the cutest art projects. Paty follows a well organized schedule and have lots of developmentally appropriate activities for babies and toddlers, such a yoga, movement and music, cooking lessons, spanish, etc. I would highly recommend Alegria Daycare to any parent looking for high quality care for their children in a loving home environment.

Our fabulous daycare has a rare opening. Alegria daycare is run by a wonderful, caring woman, Paty, and her two assistants. There are a max of ten children there. My youngest son currently is with Paty and before him, my eldest son was there for 2 years. Paty does so much with the kids. She is really into arts and crafts and comes up with some darling projects that even the really little kids can get into. She also has ample outdoor time, including a little wading pool when it is hot and gardening activities. She is constantly bringing in new toys and keeps the kids busy and entertained. My oldest son who is now in preschool at times goes back when his preschool is closed and talks about how much fun he has with Paty. I can not recommend her highly enough. She also cooks delicious meals for the kids and genuinely loves and cares about the children. Please feel free to e- mail me with any questions, or contact Paty directly at (510) 536-3874. Alegria Daycare has openings Sept. 1 for baby/toddler (3 months old min.). My daughter receives excellent care with Patricia. My son was under Patricia's care when he was at another day care 2 yrs ago. I can't say enough good things about Patricia, especially now that she has her own day care. The babies are so loved! Plus, she really works with them individually to help prepare them for their next step, preschool. She has circle time and teaches them basics without drilling them or forcing them. My daughter lights up when she goes there. I get great reports from Patti as well as art pieces and other things she does during the day. The kids get outdoor play in the nice yard out back. The house is orderly and clean. The size is small (no more than 6 even though she's licensed for 8). We'd love to see another nice family who respects Patti's philosophy and business practices to join us. Lynn

There is a rare opening in my child's small family daycare with Pati Pasquel. I can not recommend Pati highly enough. There are six children total in her home and Pati works with an assistant, Jessie. Pati speaks fluent English and Spanish. My son has learned so much from Pati. Everyday she has new and fun activities for him. She is an incredibly warm and loving person who has endless amounts of energy and enthusiasm for the kids. Her home is clean and inviting and she has tons of toys and books. She also has a large backyard for the kids to play in and has lots of outdoor activities in the summer months. Her hours are 7:30 to 5 and she is located right off the freeway near 35th Avenue and 580. Her prices are also very reasonable. Pati can be reached at (510) 536-3874. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
