Re: Teens & Rock Concerts
A great early rock concert experience is the shows put on at iMusicast in Oakland by the young band, The Matches. I'm the manager/producer of this band. I am also the father of a sixteen-year old at Berkeley High (who is not in this band).

(There are other shows produced at iMusicast, but these shows put on by the Matches are especially popular with high school kids, and, besides the facility security, the parents of band members are there helping out at the door, taking tickets, checking the restrooms, etc.) Note: the facility sells no alcohol.

The shows run pretty early, 6 - 11pm, and the venue is in the East Bay instead of SF. The fans refer to these concerts with the name used by the band for the shows they produce: L3 (Live, Loud, and Local).

Many families drop off their children and pick them up afterwards. Also, parents are always admitted free to check out the event. We've heard often from appreciative parents relieved that these shows exist as an option. info: thematches.com imusicast.com
