Write with GG: Colette Gunn-Graffy

Hi!

I'm Colette Gunn-Graffy, but my students call me "GG". I’m a Yale-educated, private high school English teacher who has taught writing for over a decade. 

I specialize in college admissions essays, academic writing support, and creative enrichment. I love words and I “get” teenagers.

My goal is to leave students feeling confident and empowered as writers. Sometimes that's as simple as helping them locate the story and "voice" needed to respond to a college essay prompt. Other times, it may involve teaching them strategies to accommodate the challenges that come with neurodiversity. Often, it involves supporting students in overcoming negative beliefs about their writing, alongside fine-tuning their technical skills.
