Lamorinda Reads
Community SubscriberBased in Lafayette (Lamorinda), I serve elementary school children in grades K–5 with dyslexia and language-based learning differences using the Slingerland Approach to structured literacy.
Whether your child needs support with decoding, fluency, or written expression, tutoring sessions are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to their unique learning style.
An official dyslexia diagnosis is not necessary for parents to seek expert structured literacy, Orton-Gillingham help for their struggling readers.
I will first assess your child to determine their individual strengths and weaknesses, and then provide weekly, in person, one-on-one targeted reading instruction, tailored to their unique needs. I keep student data and continuously track progress to ensure continued growth.
Individual Reading Tutoring:
- 1:1 structured literacy sessions tailored to each child’s individual needs
- Builds a strong foundation for reading, spelling, and writing skills
Slingerland Screening:
- Research-based assessments designed to identify early signs of reading and language challenges
- Parents receive a written summary and recommendations
I am passionate about the science of reading and helping children achieve success in their academic and emotional journeys.
