AACI provides high-quality health and wellness services, working collaboratively with other providers and community members to ensure the best standard of care. AACI was founded in 1973 to advocate for and serve the Southeast Asian refugees that were resettling in the Bay Area at that time. It started by providing culturally competent mental health services and over the past 50 years its services have expanded to meet the needs of the community. AACI continues to serve immigrants and refugees of all backgrounds and the current programs include behavioral and primary health services, substance abuse prevention and treatment, center for survivors of torture, shelter and services for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, senior wellness, youth programs, and community advocacy.
