For all parents who are interested in a Russian program for their little ones I would like to recommend Russian School Krugozor (located in Berkeley). It’s small and intimate so every child gets a lot of attention from the teacher due to small sizes of classes.

My daughter (8 years old) absolutely loves the Art class with Tatiana Mak. The teacher is very enthusiastic and very kind to children. Kids make great projects while exploring watercolor, acrylic, ink, sewing technics, collage, paper crafts and mixed media. They learn some Art History as well. This is our 3d semester with Tatiana and my child made a great progress (all her teachers at her regular school keep telling me how great in art she is). I would recommend it for kids of any age. Every class my child says to me that she can’t wait to go again.

We also took one semester of Drama class with Kristina which was absolutely amazing and while playing and rehearsing for the show, my daughter improved her Russian vocabulary dramatically. We’ll definitely take this class again.

I would like to share my experience about Russian Program ''Krugozor'' (www.russianprogram.org) in Berkeley. My son has been attending the Early Development classes here for almost 8 months, and we really like the program. Small group size (usually about 4-5 kids), so quite a bit of individual attention for each child. The lessons are very fun: finger plays, various games for language development, counting games, a bit of dancing/movement, and some ideas from Montessori are incorporated. I 'd like to recommend it to small kids who are learning to speak Russian. Albany mom
