Prenatal Support Groups

Parent Q&A

  • Queer Prenatal Support Groups?

I'm looking for a queer centered prenatal group for my second pregnancy. The first time around it just wasn't the best fit for my partner and me. We're hoping for a little education but mostly community in a queer prenatal group. Any leads?

    Hi,

Have you looked into the services of Meghan Lewis?  She is the founder of the LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Associates (http://www.lgbtqperinatalassociates.com) and also runs support groups in Oakland at Then Comes Baby.  Here is her website:  http://www.meghanlewisphd.com/

There is also a wonderful non-profit called Our Family Coalition, which might have what you are looking for:  http://www.ourfamily.org/family-support/playgroups

    Best wishes!

    Hi,

You might want to check out Rebecca Plum www.hearthstonemidwifery.com as well as Megan Lewis www.meghanlewisphd.com and see if either of them may have groups that would be a good fit. They may be able to recommend other resources if they don't have any current groups.

    Hey y'all,

After doing a little more research I found that Pacifica Family Maternity Center is about to have a queer group pop-up. Found this info in the Queer Mamas group I'm apart of! If anyone knows of any others, let me know. <3
