Writing Coach for professional-level writing

Hi, my husband is a professor who is an excellent writer, although his writing has focused on academic publications and op-eds.  He'd like to write a popular book (on his area of academic expertise) but hasn't done so before and so would like a writing coach.  I'm thinking someone who could guide him in deciding which chapters to write first, how to stay motivated, how to set deadlines, how to find a publisher.  So partly someone who is an *expert* in professional writing, and partly someone who can deal with the more psychological issues (like motivation, deadlines, etc).  Any suggestions?

I know someone who might be perfect, if your husband was willing to work by Skype or phone, as Jessica toggles between Baltimore and NYC. She is a published novelist, writing teacher, and occasional ghostwriter if the price is right. (Not that this is a ghostwriting gig -- just mentioning.) She has a good academic background -- went to Berkeley and loved it -- and so has a good affinity with we Northern CA types. I myself actually met her through professional circumstances, but she was so charming and positive that I couldn't help but become her friend.

She has a breezy, accessible writing style.

There might be a question of availability -- she's pretty busy at the moment but I believe she is about to finish a big project, so the timing might be right.

Feel free to contact me if interested, and then I'll contact her.

I would recommend a writer and coach : Stephen DeGange: 510.528-2065 - call him and talk to him, he is wonderful.
