My middle schooler is very interested in learning how to play the trumpet but we are having a hard time finding an instructor. Any suggestions??

We really like our middle schooler’s trumpet instructor at ABC Music in Castro Valley. His name is Carlo Fazio. He teaches middle school music as well as private lessons. He also plays trumpet in a jazz band. My middle schooler wants to make the high school jazz band and is working with him on fundamentals. It’s not a fancy music school but solid affordable lessons.
I can recommend Eric Lenchner who gives private trumpet lessons as “Professor Sludge.” He also teaches guitar, bass, piano and drums. He taught our kids for years and many of their school friends, and has coached many kids’ rock bands. He can be reached at eric [at] professorsludge.com.
