tree stump removal

I would like to remove the stump of an old apple tree (approximately 1.5-2 feet in diameter) to be able to plant a new tree in it's place. Is it advisable to plant in the same spot after grinding up the stump and some of the below-ground root system? Can anyone recommend a stump grinding service? Thanks!

We used a Terra Landscape to cut down some trees and grind the stumps. They were very good. The arborist who came to examine the tree was called Dan and he was helpful and knowledgeable, he also seems to be the estimator, so you can ask him for his opinion when he comes out to look at the stump. They can probably plant a new tree for you too.
