Speech therapist for 3 y/o w/ASD

My son has 4-5 words for expressive language, maybe about 50 in receptive, but really needs help with articulation and motivation.

We need someone who is willing to go to his pre-school KSS in Montclair, Oakland (we have pre-cleared this with them).

Any recommendations would be so appreciative!! He is on the spectrum so experience with this as well is even better, mainly to be able to help him maintain focus.

Hi there,

My 2 and 7 month old son sees a speech therapist at his preschool in Albany once a week and we’ve been working with her since January. Now, he is a regional center client until he turns 3 and that’s who is currently covering it, but she does run a private practice as well. She has been very nice to work with so far and  he’s been making progress and she has been  good at creating realistic and achievable speech goals. Her name is Francesca, this is her website https://www.fbslp.com.

feel free to reach out if you have other questions.

Hello, For background, I am a contractor SLP with Regional Center which would potentially provide this service until the 3rd birthday.  I have also worked in the public schools. After age 3, the school district is responsible for assessment and an offer of services.  I suggest contacting OUSD for an assessment.  It's possible they will offer something close by in terms of therapy, but at minimum you would have an assessment completed, and also have him in their system for future services as he grows.
All best,
Carol Delton
