Seeking electrician for a small project

Hi all,
We're seeking an electrician to simply run a line and install a new breaker for an induction stove. I've called several folks recommended in past posts, but most have told me that they only take large projects. Characteristics of the electrician I seek:

(1) will accept the limited scope of this project

(2) has good availability

(3) Is not offended by the fact that our house is 100 years old. Yes, I know we have some knob and tube wiring, but replacing that is a massive expense and construction project. We'll do it at the time of a planned larger renovation. Today I just need to replace my stove.

Thanks!

He’s a licensed electrician and was working on his own for awhile, during which time we luckily connected with him and replaced all of our knob and tube, doing an amazing job. I believe he’s joined another company now so isn’t generally taking on solo work, but maybe he would for a small project.

I’d suggest reaching out to LCX Energy (https://www.lcxenergy.co/). They did a partial knob & tube replacement when we upgraded our attic insulation and have also done a few small jobs for us as well. Good luck!

We used Guerrero Electric to do something similar when we got an induction cooktop (congrats on the cooktop - they are the best).

Guerrero Electric (Carlos) (510) 409-3627

They were reasonably priced and responsive.

I worked with Darius Kraus of Kraus Electric for knob and tube rewiring: www.yelp.com/biz/darius-kraus-electric-oakland-2

I also worked with John Merriman of JM Electric for a panel upgrade and service upgrade, in case you need that - he handled PG&E really well (which is a big deal) - https://www.yelp.com/biz/jm-electric-oakland-3

Both were available within about 2 months or so - possibly sooner for a small job like this.

I'll also message you a blog I wrote about the 3 induction stove models out there that have batteries built in, so you DO NOT need to hire an electrician to get the benefits of induction assuming you have modern 120v wiring : ) but if you want to, feel free!

I also have an about-100 year old house.
