Redyper-->Dyper Corporate Transition
Do any of my fellow diaper-changing parents have the backstory on the changes at ReDyper (formerly Earth Baby)? We've been using the service for five years, through two kids, and I couldn't have been happier. But recently, it seems that there has been some kind of corporate shuffle and the service is significantly changing. Instead of dropping the fresh diapers off at the same time as the pickup, they're now shipping products from Arizona on monthly or biweekly schedule (it's a bit unclear). And the ability to change orders within 36 hours of the pickup seems to also be going away.
Has anyone thought through this transition yet? Any tips?
I'm still trying to figure out if the overall price is changing, but it's making me wonder if I should comparison shop again. Does Tiny Tots still exist? Has there been a new entrant to this market? Should I just accelerate potty training for the youngest one ("I don't WANNA use the potty!")

So glad that you’re thinking about this and asking these questions. I have been in a back-and-forth with customer service over the last two days, and they have confirmed that prices are in fact changing, though there is a grace period until January 2026.
I expressed my frustration with the messaging around this rollout… It’s been very unclear. It’s disappointing that a great service seems to be getting less environmentally friendly, less convenient, and more expensive at the same time— and to top it off, the execution is so bungled.
I don’t have any additional context on the changes, but will definitely be following this story.
I’m also very curious - have been trying to get questions answered with limited success and have been pretty frustrated by the poor and pretty opaque communication as they’ve been so helpful in the past.
Seems like individual packs of diapers are going to be $19.50 unless you subscribe, which then will cost $16.50. That’s up from $15.50 now and $13.50 at the start of the year before the tariff increases. The monthly box seems like it comes with 6 packs and the pricing I think shakes out the same ($19.50 or $16.50 if you subscribe).
I was told pickup will continue to be weekly and that cost will not change, BUT I read somewhere that it was only assured through end of year so I’m guessing more changes may come after that
Nothing to add except solidarity. The emails saying “you’re getting upgraded!” piss me off royally. You can only do monthly shipping unless you pay $15 per shipment for more frequency, NONE of the diaper creams, baby wash, other sundries, only diapers and wipes. Huge downgrade in service, and I’d seriously consider switching if I didn’t think we were reasonably close to potty training. Excuse me while I reorganize my closet to store a months worth of diapers at a time…
Tiny Tots still exists and I love them! You can change your order the day before by noon if you call them
TLDR: This has annoyed me so much! I'm switching to Tiny Tots.
Redyper/earth-baby member since 2019. I am also frustrated by this new model. I find it inefficient that they don't come on the same van that does pick up. The monthly subscription also doesn't work for me with the pack sizes. Both my kids are potty trained and only using pull ups overnight. But the pack sizes are not based on 2 or 4 week increments. So 1 pack/month is not enough, but 2 packs/month is way too many. I also liked the previous ability to add a pack last minute before a big trip or push a recurring order to the following week. The lack of flexibility on ordering is where I drew the line. Also with the switch to FedEx, there could be delays with your delivery. When it was local, it was reliable.
Don't have any backstory, but just chiming in that we're not impressed with this transition. Spam-like emails, no warning ahead of time, and not even a simple explanation email about the transition and why. I didn't even realize at first it was changing to monthly/biweekly, and it's not at all clear if what we're paying the rest of the year? Would also love any insights others have.
Tiny Tots is alive and well as a local business and they remain awesome for compostable diapers! Have been using them since 2020 and hope we wrap up soon as a sign of successfully potty training our second ha.
I keep checking back to see if responses to this question have posted yet, because I’m a bit wary of what’s going on here and definitely looking for more info.
FWIW, we received our first shipment from Dyper headquarters today. Our order was wrong (missing the diapers for our younger baby!) the shipping box was obviously used and quite beat up. No issues with reusing boxes (we are using their service for a more environmentally friendly diapering option, after all), but it was not a confidence inspiring first interaction with the new company. I also understand that all of the Bay Area delivery drivers were laid off. I hope that they were treated fairly.
I am also really disappointed in both the specifics of this transition and the way it is being implemented. I have some answers from a lot of back and forth with both SF Dyper (formerly Earth Baby) and the new corporate Dyper folks.
Apparently Dyper purchased Earth Baby a few years ago but they kept their systems and have been working off separate platforms until now— which means deliveries will be shipped from Dyper headquarters and only pick ups from SF which remain complimentary only for the duration of 2025 and then will incur an additional cost.
You can do a monthly subscriptions, every 2 weeks, or 3 weeks. You can make edits to your order up until the day before.
Prices are increasing slightly, but without monthly service fee and with subscription discount comes out to about the same for now.
It feels a lot less flexible but I think in the end is workable. I’ve considered switching to Tiny Tots— which operates similarly to the model we are used to, but since my youngest is close to potty training am going to try to stick with Dyper so we don’t have to swirch diaper brands and reinvent the wheel unless it is a total bust!
Hope this helps!
Sorry to hear about these frustrations. We're a Tiny Tots family since 2022 and have been super happy with them. They carry Bambo (which we LOVE) and Nest diapers, are super reliable, have amazing friendly customer service (a real person picks up the phone in Campbell), and you can change your order up to 48 hours before delivery. They'll even accommodate later changes by phone whenever possible—I've called the day before and been able to add items to my delivery. I know it can feel daunting to switch but Tiny Tots in our experience has been a pleasant, low friction, high satisfaction experience.
We have been SO frustrated by the change and have decided to cancel. We were happy earth baby/redyper customers since 2021. Seriously, I recommended them to everyone. The service made my life so much easier.
The whole roll out was confusing and I was actually unsure if the emails were legit. But what pushed me to cancel was chatting with our lovely delivery driver. He told us that all the drivers were being laid off and being given the “option” of doing pick ups in their own personal vehicle (perhaps as an independent contractor).
I emailed customer service saying I was frustrated by the transition and that I was concerned with how the drivers were being treated and got a nonresponse with a “sorry to see you go.” They didn’t even try to keep my business. I’ll be looking into Tiny tots.
Agree with everything that’s been said. With Dyper, service fee will remain the same for the rest of this year and then will likely increase to $15 / week. I’m using the “transfer credit” to get free diapers and then switching to tiny tots.
Today was the first day they were supposed to pick up for us under the new system, they went to the wrong house and tried to blame it on me. I asked them to come back, I told them they had done a terrible job with this transition and they chose to cancel my subscription and kick us off their service rather than actually fix the issue. The lack of phone support is truly awful. I'm also going to look into Tiny Tots.
Can someone message me a Tiny Tots discount code/referral code?
Based on the reviews here I might switch, I have been using Dyper and got on the new system but agree the rollout was bungled and that's upsetting that they laid off the drivers! Ugh.
Our driver became really good friends with us so he told us some of the background story. The Dyper company from Arizona (I think) is not doing very well but the SF redyper company was. The owners of the SF company sold it to the one in Arizona without knowing the financial problems of the other company. The main company is now cutting costs by getting rid of the the delivery drivers and just delivering once a month. I was very sad that our driver lost their job and I was also unsure I wanted to continue with the service. I am giving it a try just because I really like the quality of the diapers and the idea that these get composted. My first diaper pickup was a bust. The new driver missed it completely and still charged us for it. Hopefully things will become smooth again but the price of pickup is increasing for SF Bay Area customers to almost double in January and I'll reconsider again at that time if I should stay with them or not. Hope this is helpful!
We had a missed pickup on July 3 (went to the wrong address) they came back the 7th and missed it again (didn’t read the note that they needed to go down the driveway). Finally got them picked up on the 8th, some of those diapers were almost 2 weeks old. 🤮
We’re switching to tiny tots. The person I spoke with on the phone (glorious actual customer service) even said that they don’t mind picking up a few Dyper diapers to help smooth the transition, they are definitely seeing a surge.
