Private swim instructor for kids ages 5-8
We’re looking for someone to hire for 1:1 private swim instruction. We would work with public pool hours in the larger East Bay area (Berkeley/Oakland/Richmond). We’re aiming for 1 hour twice per week. Two kids ages 5 and 8. Any referrals would be great. Thanks.

All the local public pools prohibit private instruction by outside parties. Your arrangement likely would be immediately broken up.
Highly recommend a summer of Canyon Pool private lessons if you want the kids to get better fast.
For private instruction, I recommend going "through the tunnel" to Sherman Swim School in Lafayette. It's a little drive, but worth it for the warm weather, warm pool, dedicated teachers and overall excellent experience! My kids only really made swimming progress when working w/ private instructors (we're over paying for them to spend the majority of the lesson holding onto the edge of the pool for a cumulative 5 minutes of personal instruction). Another option for private lessons is Ohana in the Oakland hills - we liked it, but Sherman was better.
