Preschool replacing KSS on Piedmont Ave?
Hi, I've heard a rumor that a new preschool will take the place of KSS on Piedmont Ave when it moves to its new location in Montclair. Can anyone tell me more? We live around the corner and I had long been interested in the place as a potential preschool for my son. Thanks.

I am a current KSS parent and can confirm that the rumor is true -- there will be another Spanish-immersion preschool opening up there, likely early Fall. The owners are the former directors of KSS Piedmont and the regional director, Juliana and Maribel. They are excellent at what they do and are retaining an excellent 2s class teacher. I know they are still waiting on permit-related things, and the City of Oakland is INSANELY slow with that process, but stay turned. You likely won't be disappointed with the experience with those two incredible ladies at the helm.
My son goes to school at the KSS in Albany and what I heard is that the woman who was running all three locations is leaving KSS to start her own preschool at the Piedmont location. I assume it will be Spanish immersion as she is Spanish speaking. She is a very warm and nice person.
