Online new mom support group or mommy & me classes?

Hi all! I am a new mom with a 3 month old and I am looking for online support groups and online mommy & me type classes (yoga, fitness, etc.). Does anyone have any recommendations? With the current state of the world it's hard connecting with people so I am really hoping to find some great online groups. Thanks! Lily & Myles

Yes, check out this Oakland-based group:

They have both first time and second time Mom groups.

Check out the Family Room in Albany!

Hi Lily and Myles,

I highly recommend the P.E.A.C.E Program Baby and Me group. It's a Montessori based group with a wonderful leader, Mariana, and is now on Zoom. You can ask questions, meet other parents, and get support. https://www.thepeaceprogram.org/

I also recommend Angela Madonia's postnatal yoga class you can bring baby to. I did in-person so I can't speak to it online, but LOVE Angela. Such a supportive environment, and another person you can ask anything. https://www.angelamadoniayoga.com/current-classes

You could take a look at the groups at Then Comes Baby...http://then-comes-baby.com/classes/

There is also this connected core class. It looks like its being offered online. https://www.annemariayoga.com/classes/2019/2/23/connected-core-for-new-mamas-9skjb-we2p5-2bsnw-49akd

Bananas has a variety of support groups, playgroups and classes, including ones for new moms. https://bananasbunch.org/parents-families/parent-workshops/

Hi. I am a new mom to a 5 week old and was feeling the same need for community. I just signed up for the next round of 1st Time Mom support group with Then Comes Baby that was recommended to me through my doula. They have a bunch of classes. Check them out: (http://then-comes-baby.com/classes/). Maybe I will see you there.

Hi, there! I can relate. I have a 6 month old. I was actually thinking of trying to coordinate a socially distanced moms' group at either San Pablo Park or Strawberry Creek Park in Berkeley.

BANANAS has a free one starting in October. I have a 6 week old and just signed up myself! https://bananasbunch.org/parents-families/parent-workshops/

New mom with a 6 month old here and I’m SO bummed to not be meeting other new parents in line at Berkeley Bowl, at the park, or at Mommy & me yoga. Thank you for posting! Going to check out some of these other suggestions. Two virtual classes I’ve liked so far:

Bill White’s Happy Baby Signs does baby sign language classes. I really enjoy Bill’s teaching and feel like I’m learning a lot. Did the intro class and now I’m 2 sessions into his 6 week series. It’s really nice to stretch language muscles and learn something. https://www.happybabysigns.com/

Little Wonders, a play coop in San Mateo, is getting a virtual parent support/baby play group together for the fall. This is more of a parents’ support group, with one of their teachers facilitating discussion (sleep, baby proofing, starting solids, etc) and leading a few songs for the babies. I think they have 3 people (including me!) signed up so far, but they need 5 to make it happen. It’s $300 for 12 classes and will be Tuesdays at 12:30. They’ve been offering free preview classes every week. https://www.littlewonders.org/

@apbmango, I’d love to do a socially distanced meetup at either of those parks. Am free Monday if that would work.

Is there any interest in doing a BPN new parent zoom chat sometime?
