No communication from Hillcrest
Hello! My son is starting kindergarten at Hillcrest in a little over a week and we have received no communication at all regarding .... anything.
I was was supposed to receive a packet to fill out and an invite to an ice cream social. I have no idea about anything.
Can anyone help....? Thanks

Hello, maybe you called the school by now. We finally got the email this week- crazy because there are critical forms to complete. The most important is to have your child's immunization record, as they need that to attend on Monday the 13th. Here's the info, cut and pasted. New family orientation is Friday 4:30-5:30, with ice cream social after!

This year, Registration is this Thursday, August 9th from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM and Friday, August 10th from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM here at Hillcrest.

Registration has also been made available online (which you will receive a link to via Yellow Pages tonight) and you'll be able to complete all the forms there without having to print anything. However, since your child will be entering the school year as a Kindergartener, we are asking that you come either Wednesday, Thursday or Friday to turn in the Immunization Record. This is the most important thing and without it, your child will not be able to come to school Monday morning. You may email the immunization record to us but a photo of it is not acceptable. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you've probably missed registration. I was in a similar boat a few years ago for middle school when my registration letter got coded for the wrong zip code and sent to someone else. By the time I started getting concerned and reached out, registration was past. I was able to sort everything out, but it was stressful, mostly because I needed to sign my daughter up for aftercare and there were limited spots available (it all worked out). Contact the school directly--in person if you have to. There will be people in the office this close to the start of school. Good luck.
