New Haircutter

76 year old male here, The lady who has taken very good care of me at a local Supercuts for several years has retired and so I would appreciate recommendations for a haircutter who would be able to replace her. Nothing fancy is needed-just a well done, regular haircut. It would be best if he/she is located in the Oakland/ Berkeley area. Many thanks.

RE: New Haircutter ()

I’ve been going to Lauren at Bruce’s Barbershop in Emeryville for years now (followed her there from when she worked at Temescal). Costs more than supercuts, but I think it is worth it.

Try Haircuts Room - 800B San Pablo in Albany.  Place is in a little strip mall behind gas pumps.  Basic, nothing fancy.  Open 7 days a week.  Good haircuts.  Very inexpensive.  I started going there after my hairdresser of 30 years retired at the beginning of COVID.  I pay $18 (+ tip).  My husband goes and gets haircut for $17 and beard trim for $6 (+tip).

Joyce on piedmont ave does a good job and is reasonably priced. I am a woman in my forties who’s somewhat picky about my hair and went to her for a number of years before switching to a friend of mine who cuts from her backyard (but isn’t cheap or else I’d recommend her!). Joyce runs her own business and takes interest in her customers!
