Need help communicating w/ my 16 y.o. daughter
Hello Fellow Parents of Teens & Emerging Adults,
I am wondering if anyone can please give me some names and contact information for counselors or "parenting advisors" who could offer me strategies and support to improve my communication and my overall relationship with my 16+-year-old daughter? I'm hoping for someone who has a cognitive-behavioral bent and is a true expert in teen development and in parent-mid teen relationships. Thanks in advance for your help!

I highly recommend Sara Biel in Berkeley. She has been amazing support for my teen daughter, and our mother-daughter relationship.
Try BACA (Bay Area Clinical Associates) in Oakland. They have been treating my daughter for the last three (3) years and we have seen great progress and they offer counseling for the entire family. They are wonderful and extremely helpful. Don't know where we would be today without them.
An educational psychologist who just tested my 13 yo daughter suggested https://www.livesinthebalance.org/ which uses a collaborative approach to parenting.
