Mid year transfer?

Hello,

Does anyone know of private schools in Oakland and Berkeley that consider mid year transfers for lower elementary children?

Thank you

Virtually all schools will consider transfers if they have space. Call the ones you're interested in to find out whether or not they do (since it varies by grade).

The Berkeley School (K-8) is fantastic and I know they have openings in a few of the lower grades. Do the transfer soon-ish so your child doesn't miss much! The school focuses on Civic Engagement and is so well staffed. Diverse, great families, etc. Good Luck! Paula Farmer is the Admissions Director 510-665-8800 x103

Yes, almost any private school with openings will take mid year transfers. Crestmont School  in the Richmond Hills has spots in some of the lower grades. We’re  very happy there:)

Walden Center & School accepts transfers if there are open spots, and I am pretty sure there is availability in at least some of the lower elementary classes.  My child is in 2nd grade, and we are very happy with the school.

Hi, the Academy school has openings in 1st and 4th grade.  My daughter is in the 1st grade.  Feel free to contact me if you'd like to talk.  Here's the contact info for the school:

The Academy in Berkeley will take mid-year transfers if they have space. I believe there is space in a few classes. Call the admissions director, Justine at 510-549-0605.

My son was a mid-year transfer to The Berkeley School last year for 5th grade. The Director of Admissions, Paula Farmer can be reached at 510-665-8800 ext. 103. Paula was

super helpful with the enrollment process and was able to answer questions and concerns we presented. My son has thrived at TBS and love the small classroom setting. There are only 21 6th graders in his class.  Good luck to you in your search.
