Martial Arts for 5 year old
I am interested in having my 5 year old son start a martial arts class and I am looking for any recommendations near Albany, CA. Also interested to hear if people have recommendations between Tae Kwon do vs Karate vs Judo, etc. Is there one that is best for young children to start? Thank you!

Our 6-year-old has been going to Golden Lion in Albany for kung fu since he was 4.5 and he still really enjoys it and just finished his second tournament. I just started taking their adult class as well and I'm really enjoying it. In general we've had a good experience with Golden Lion and we currently have no plans to stop going.
We had a wonderful experience with Berkeley Cuong Nhu on San Pablo. They have a really approachable curriculum for young children and a warm and welcoming environment.
My son has been taking lessons at the West Wind school for over four years now and they moved to the top of Solano at the beginning of the year. You can read my heartfelt rave review on Yelp. I can’t recommend enough.
