Looking for Taekwondo Teacher to come to our house

Hi there,

My smart but very shy 6-year-old would like to take taekwondo lessons but is too shy to attend formal classes (we've tried 2 separate schools).  He loves to master technique such as his forms, and we feel very strongly about taekwondo lessons in particular for cultural reasons.  I am seeking an upper-belt-level taekwondo student to come to our home in Lafayette (East Bay) once or twice a week to teach him privately.  We will need also to arrange a one-time meeting to see if our son "clicks" with the new teacher and feels comfortable (our experience is that if this doesn't happen at the first meeting, it's unlikely he will warm up over time).  Teacher must be friendly, patient, and confident, and ideally have experience working with kids.  We will offer compensation depending on skill level and lesson frequency.  Appreciate any offers or leads!

Hi, Sayuri sounds like a perfect fit for this. She is currently competes international in Taekwondo ( she is ranked 85th!!) and has experience teaching all levels and ages of students, she also has childcare experience in the past and is super sweet. My infant son loves her! She says she is certified through Kukkiwon as 4th Dan ( degree) Black belt. Her contact info is sayu.taka315 [at] berkeley.edu, PM me if you'd like her phone number as well.
