Looking for Recent Recommendations for Little Sprouts Preschool
Hello. My two year old daughter has been attending a small home day care since she was 5 months old. I am now looking into preschools, and I have found one next to my job that I liked. However, I am having trouble finding recent reviews for Little Sprouts preschool in the Fruitvale, Oakland. What have your experiences been like? Positive? Negative? Is it just play based, or do you feel like your child is learning enough to be ready for kindergarten?

My daughter attended LSP for 2 years. It was near my home, affordable, and I knew some people from the church it is associated with. Overall we had a good experience there. It’s fairly small and the teachers were very loving to the kids. I’d say it’s a mix of play-based and more academic focus. I think it’s more traditional and no-frills than a lot of the preschools you’ll read about on BPN. But I felt like my daughter was well prepared for kindergarten. Now my daughter looks back very fondly on her time there and she really loved her teachers. I’d be happy to talk with you about it.
